Version 6.1:
Mellel 6.1 is an update to Mellel 6. It includes a major feature: Equations. This feature allows you to define equations using LaTeX math notation and insert them into your document.
 
Equation Panel
Based on the open-source equation rendering engine MathJax, the Equation panel allows you to define an equation using LaTeX math notation and render it into a smooth PDF image inserted into your document. Using the Equation panel you can also set the equation font size, baseline position — which defines the vertical position of the equation relative to the surrounding text — and access the equation library.
 
Equation Library
You can use the equation library to store and recall frequently used equations. The Equation panel Library popup gives you access to the stored equations and allows you to save new or modified equations.
 
Revised Blank Templates
Mellel's blank templates now feature Equation caption Auto-title stream. You can use the stream to number equations in your document.
